ASICS is a global sports footwear and apparel brand for over 50 years, revolutionizing the industry with cutting-edge design philosophies. They wanted to migrate their website to a new platform.

Goal

To migrate the client's website to a new platform while preserving and improving SEO performance.

Challenge

Our main challenge was to successfully maintain search rankings for all targeted keywords and maintain the monthly traffic while restoring the URL structure of the website pages & avoiding the duplicate issues.

Our Approach

  1. Conducted a comprehensive SEO audit of the existing site to identify high-performing pages, backlinks, and any existing issues.
  2. Established benchmarks for current organic traffic, keyword rankings, and site speed.
  3. Created a detailed URL mapping plan to ensure all URLs were properly redirected.

  1. Ensured all meta tags, headers, and content were migrated accurately.
  2. Maintained the internal linking structure to preserve link equity.

  1. Implemented 301 redirects for all old URLs to their new counterparts.
  2. Used canonical tags to address potential duplicate content issues.
  3. Updated and submitted new XML sitemaps to search engines.

  1. Ensured Google Analytics and Google Search Console were set up on the new site.
  2. Monitored the site closely for traffic fluctuations, crawl errors, and indexing issues post-migration using our own tool called Decisionboard.AI.
